DSGCE has organized Tree Plantation Drive on 22nd April, 2016 to celebrate Earth Day under the Environmental Club and NSS unit of the college. It was initiated by the Principal D.S.G.C.E. Dr.Kompal Wadhawan by planting a tree. She congratulated all the members of faculty and students on this day. She asked everybody to be aware about our environmental threats and issues so that we can prevent our coming generation from there harmful effects. She also motivated everybody to plant more and more trees around their homes, colleges, parks and forest areas of their respective regions. Students of the college planted many shrubs like Rose, Hibiscus, Petunia, Thusa and trees like Peepal, Ashoka in the whole campus and surrounded area. They were very happy and enthusiastic during this drive.
Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Chairman UGI appreciated the initiation taken by the students and also gave his opinions on the importance of Green Earth.
