Divya Shiksha Gurukul college of Education observed the Literacy Day in its Campus. On the occasion, Dr. Kompal Wadhwan, vice principal of the college shared her views on “Importance of Education”. She said, to achieve 100% literacy rate in India, it is required that teacher’s along with their professional duty should do their social duty of “Each one Teach One”. She inspired the students of the college to take teaching as a passion and to take teaching during their community work. A poster making competition was organized. An extension lecture on “Importance of Literacy” was organized for 4th class employees of the college. Students also taught them how to write their names and basic addition and subtraction for their daily routine. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize was bagged by Neha (B.Ed), Rajwinder Kaur (ETT 1) and Gurwinder Kaur (B.Ed) respectively. At the end, Principal Dr. Kompal Wadhwan thanked all for their efforts.
