Students of Divya Shiksha Gurukul College of Education, Ballopur, Lalru celebrated TEACHER’S DAY on 4h Sept.2015. Pupil teachers participated in this celebration with enthusiasm and fervour. Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Honourable Chairman UGI, was the Chief Guest on the occasion Dr. Vikas Dhawan, the Director of UIET and Dr. S.K. Sharma, Principal Universal Polytechnic College were the guest of honour of the day. All the dignitaries were welcomed by Dr. Gaurav and he also shared his views with the students. Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Honourable Chairman UGI threw light on the role and responsibility of teachers in the present scenario of technology. Dr. Vikas Dhawan, the Director of UIET also told the importance of teachers in students’ life and also advised the future teacher to respect their parents and teacher. Dr. S.K. Sharma, Principal Universal Polytechnic College also told the students that they should admire their teachers and try to imbibe good qualities in their personality. Teacher day was followed by a cultural programme organised and performed by students of M.Ed, B.Ed and ETT. At the end, the vice principal, Dr. Kompal Wadhawan gave a vote of thanks to all present and appreciated the efforts of faculty and students.
