Divya Shiksha Gurukul College of education, Ballopur celebrated Karwa chauth on 29th Oct, 2015 in the college campus.   Karwa Chauth is an annual one day festival celebrated in North India in which Hindu women fast for the long life of their husbands. Mehandi competition and nail art competition was held on this occasion.  Students of B.Tech, MBA, Arts and Science, Polytechnic, B.Ed, M.Ed and ETT participated in it. Students drew beautiful designs of Arabian, colorful Mehandi and sparkle Mehandi designs on the hands of girls. They also drew floral designs, leaves and birds’ designs on the hands. Students also showcased their talent in nail art. Students participated in this competition with zeal and enthusiasm. Manpreet kaur and Manisha of ETT 1st year department bagged first prize and second prize respectively in Mehandi competition.  Gurpreet kaur and Rajwinder Kaur of_ETT 1st year got second prize in nail art competition. At the end, Dr. Kompal, vice principal of the college thanked all participants and appreciated the efforts of organizers of the event.
