The seven day NSS camp was inaugurated on Monday 24th Feb.2016 with full zeal and enthusiasm by Honourable Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Chairman UGI. Esteemed guest present on the occasion were Dr. Baljit Kapoor, Campus Director, Dr. Kompal Wadhawan, Principal, DSGCE, Dr. Swati Principal UIET, Ms. Kawaljeet Kaur, Principal UIN, Mrs. Prabhjot Jolly Principal UPC and Sh. Charanjeet Singh, Sarpanch, Village Malakpur. Dr. Kompal Wadhawan, Principal DSGCE welcomed all present on the occasion. The inaugural session started with the college prayer: 'Bhala Cahhana Manush Matrya Ka Aeh Insaan Wajib Hai'. Ms. Aarti Bhatt (NSS Prog. Officer) briefed NSS Volunteers about the objectives, motto and activities of NSS. Dr. Baljit Kapoor, also shared his views with NSS volunteers on the occasion and motivated the volunteers to work wholehearted for the upliftment of the society. He also said that the NSS volunteers should provide continuous support to the people of the village and help them to solve their day to day problems. Dr. Kompal also motivated the NSS volunteers with her words and suggested numerous ways to volunteers to make the life in village Malakpur healthier. Dr. Surina Sharma (NSS Prog. Officer) discussed the seven days NSS camp schedule with students.
